The Harriet Mae Foundation was founded on Christian principals.  Harriet Mae Harris was a loving and nurturing mother who always treated people with kindness.  She never met a stranger and would always lend a helping hand.  Harriet never saw race or gender as an issue, all she saw was someone that could use a little extra support.  She was on a fixed income but somehow, she always knew how to make ends meets. She always said, "Be careful how you treat people and always be willing to help those who are less fortunate than you".  In honor of my mother, I would like to carry-on her spirit of giving and helping those who need resources.  The Harriet Mae Foundation is designed to help those less fortunate by providing food/meals, housing resources, educational services, and employment assistance.
